This site was designed to help folks with life-threatening kidney disease, generate awareness for the on-going crusade for organ donation …. and to supply helpful links for those interested in the transplant process. On May 30, 2006, I was successfully transplanted with a “perfectly matched” kidney and want to devote my web site to giving hope to others like myself, and to promote organ donation as a way of easing the burden of those needing kidneys. I always had hope that I would be well again and want to inspire all of you to sustain the courage, inspiration and energy that my friends and family (and even strangers) gave to me. Remember, hope soothes the soul. |

“… less than 1 in 10 individuals with kidney disease is aware they have a problem,” said Josef Coresh, MD, PhD, lead author of the study and professor in the Departments of Epidemiology and Medicine at Johns Hopkins University. |
